Dr. Tyler Crowe Offers the following procedures:
• Porcelain Veneers
Dental veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored material designed to cover the front surface of teeth. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth thereby changing their colour, shape, size or length and resulting in a greatly improved appearance.
Dental veneers are made from porcelain. Porcelain veneers resist stains and mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth.
• Porcelain Onlays
What is an onlay?
It’s a dentist-fabricated replacement of one or more cusps of your tooth. In select cases, the most conservative means of long-term restoration of a tooth may be the placement of an onlay. With superior materials, such as gold or porcelain, the tooth can be strengthened internally.
They are beautiful, feel as natural as your own tooth and last 15-20 years!
• Bridges
A dental bridge is a device used to fill the space where a tooth has fallen out or been removed. A typical dental bridge consists of a pontic (a filler tooth) that is attached to two surrounding crowns (abutments). Once complete, this bridge structure is bonded or cemented into the mouth. Without the use of a bridge, spaces in the mouth from missing teeth can cause multiple teeth to shift, lead to malocclusion (bad bite) and/or jaw problems, and may spur periodontal (gum) disease. Dental bridges safeguard the integrity of existing teeth and help maintain a healthy, vibrant smile.

• Digital X-rays
Radiographic imaging is an essential part of a dentists prognosis, documentation and treatment process. Dr Crowe is pleased to be able to offer our patients Digital x-ray technology because they’re a greener option, use 70% less radiation, and there is zero wait for the images to develop. The X-rays can be viewed immediately on a screen in each of our operatories and then stored in your personal patient chart. Dr Crowe is able to enhance and enlarge these images as a visual aid – making it easier to show you what’s happening in your mouth!

• Same Day CEREC Crowns
Cerec Crown technology makes it possible to complete a crown restoration in a single appointment. That’s right, one day! Unlike other materials such as gold or porcelain, ceramic is more biocompatible and boasts tooth-like physical and esthetic qualities. Impressions are taken digitally and are far more comfortable for patients than traditional impressions. The digital impressions map the inside of the patient’s mouth precisely down to the last detail. No bulky molds or unnecessary debris in the mouth. The crown is then milled by our computer in-office to fit your tooth precisely while you wait, thus eliminating the need to come back for a second appointment! It’s just that quick.
• Wisdom teeth removal
Is it necessary?
Most problems with wisdom teeth start to develop around the age of 20. While not all wisdom teeth cause complications, extractions are often performed because of an existing problem such as swelling, decay or infection. However, removal is best done as a preventative measure to avoid serious complications in the future. In younger individuals, the wisdom teeth’s roots are not fully developed and the jawbone is not as dense, so it’s easier to remove the tooth. The easier it is to remove the tooth, the quicker your recovery is likely to be. Early removal can also prevent damage to neighboring healthy teeth, bone, gum tissue, nerves, and blood vessels.
The procedure
Like many medical procedures, a thorough dental exam is necessary. A digital panoramic x-ray will be taken so the dentist can evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth and determine if any current or potential problems exist. The x-ray can also expose additional risk factors, such as deterioration or decay of nearby teeth. Early evaluation and treatment is recommended to identify potential issues and to improve the results for patients requiring wisdom teeth extractions. Only after a thorough examination can Dr. Crowe provide you with the best course of action for your particular case.
